Bitget TradFi FAQ
What Bitget TradFi is, how to enable MT5, USDT margin, leverage, forced liquidation and trading hours.
Forex and contracts for difference (CFDs) are leveraged products and carry a high level of risk. You may lose all of your capital. Nothing on this site is investment advice.
TradFi
What is Bitget TradFi?
Bitget TradFi lets users trade traditional financial assets such as forex, gold, indices and stocks through contracts for difference (CFDs) within Bitget, using USDT as margin. According to information published by Bitget, the feature entered closed beta in December 2025; the actual scope of availability is as per official announcements.
How do I open a Bitget TradFi account?
Find the TradFi entry in the Bitget app or on the website and follow the prompts to open an MT5 account. You need to have a Bitget main account first, and you may be required to complete identity verification. Note that your MT5 login and password are separate from your Bitget main account, so keep them safe.
Which currency is used as margin on Bitget TradFi?
Only USDT is currently supported as margin. Other assets such as BTC and ETH cannot be used directly as margin. You first need to transfer funds from your spot account to your TradFi account. Official information says transfers within the platform are free of charge, but if this changes, the official terms apply.
Can I trade Bitget TradFi on MT5?
Yes. Bitget TradFi is built on MetaTrader 5 (MT5) and supports features such as chart analysis, technical indicators and EAs, and it can be used on mobile or desktop. The terminals available are as described by Bitget.
What is the leverage on Bitget TradFi?
Leverage varies by instrument and position size. Official information mentions relatively high leverage on instruments such as forex and gold, and it may change as the rules are adjusted. High leverage magnifies both profits and losses. Check the exact figure in the instrument information on the TradFi trading screen.
What happens if my Bitget TradFi margin level gets too low?
The margin level reflects your account's capacity to absorb losses. If it gets too low, the system may close your positions (stop out) to control risk. We recommend managing your position size, setting stop-losses and watching your margin level at all times. The exact stop out level is as set by Bitget's official rules and on-screen prompts.
What are the trading hours for Bitget TradFi?
TradFi trading hours depend on the traditional market for the underlying instrument. For example, forex and gold are usually closed at weekends, and opening and closing times differ between instruments. Check the trading sessions in the instrument details.
How does Bitget TradFi differ from crypto futures?
TradFi trades CFDs on traditional assets such as forex and gold, whose prices are driven mainly by the macroeconomy and traditional markets, and it is traded through MT5. Crypto futures trade the price of cryptocurrencies and are traded on the Bitget futures screen. The rules, trading hours and risk parameters of the two differ, so do not mix them up.
