Bitget Spot Trading FAQ
Bitget spot trading: how to place orders, fees, take profit and stop loss, minimum order size and why orders go unfilled.
Forex and contracts for difference (CFDs) are leveraged products and carry a high level of risk. You may lose all of your capital. Nothing on this site is investment advice.
Spot Trading
What is Bitget spot trading?
Spot trading means directly buying and selling one coin with another (for example, buying BTC with USDT). Once purchased, the asset belongs to you; there is no leverage and no forced liquidation. You can still incur losses when prices fall.
What order types does Bitget spot trading support?
Common types are limit orders, market orders and conditional orders such as take-profit and stop-loss. A limit order is executed at the price you set and may not fill immediately. A market order is executed as quickly as possible at the best available price, and slippage may occur when the market is volatile. The order types available are as shown in the app.
How are Bitget spot trading fees calculated?
Spot fees are usually charged as a percentage of the traded value, with separate maker and taker rates, and may change with your user tier or if you pay with the platform token. The exact rates are as shown on Bitget's official fee page.
Why has my limit order not been filled?
A limit order is filled only when the market price reaches your order price and there is a matching order on the other side. If the price does not get there, or your order price is too far from the current price, the order stays open. You can cancel it on the orders page and place it again.
What is the minimum order size for Bitget spot trading?
The minimum order quantity and minimum order value vary by trading pair. If you see a message that your order is below the minimum, increase the quantity or amount. You can check the limits in the trading pair's details.
How do I transfer assets to my spot account?
Funds on Bitget are held in different accounts (for example spot and futures). On the "Assets" page, choose "Transfer", then select the account to transfer from and to, the coin and the amount. Transfers within the platform are usually instant.
What are the main risks of spot trading?
The main risks are sharp price swings, execution prices that deviate because of thin liquidity, project risk (some coins may go to zero or be delisted), and account and private key security risks. Only invest money you can afford to lose.
