Accounts

What account types does TMGM offer?

The official Southeast Asia site offers two main account types: Classic (spreads from 1.0 pips, no commission) and Edge (spreads from 0.0 pips, commission charged), both available on MT4 or MT5. There is also a cent account available only in some regions, and an Islamic swap-free option. The official site provides a demo account entry point, but cent accounts have no demo account. Account types offered may differ by entity and region, so please refer to the account opening page. For a comparison, see the Classic vs Edge question in this category; for the sign-up process, see the account opening guide.

What is the difference between a TMGM Classic and an Edge account?

The main difference is the cost structure. Edge: spreads from 0.0 pips, with a round-turn commission of USD 7 per lot on forex and USD 5 on metals. Classic: spreads from 1.0 pips, no commission. In the account comparison table on the official Southeast Asia site, both run on MT4/MT5, share the same maximum leverage of 1:1000 and the same stop out level of 20%, and both allow hedging and EAs. Which is cheaper depends on the instrument, lot size and trading frequency; you can compare them on the trading cost calculator. Minimum deposit: the comparison table lists USD 100, but the FAQ on the same page says there is no minimum deposit. The two statements are inconsistent, so we do not pick either figure here.

What is a TMGM cent account?

A cent account shows balances and profit and loss in cents (100 cents = USD 1), with a forex contract size of 1,000, which suits small-capital traders who want to experience live markets or test EAs. The official Southeast Asia site states that the minimum deposit varies by payment channel (from USD 15 for local payment methods). You can trade major and minor currency pairs, gold, silver, crude oil and BTCUSD. No demo account is offered. Eligible regions: the account page lists Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vietnam and Latin American countries, but the footer of the official site also states that these products are not offered to residents of the United States, Malaysia and Thailand. The two statements are inconsistent, so we cannot confirm whether residents of Malaysia or Thailand can apply.

What is the difference between a TMGM cent account and a standard account?

Here Classic is used as the reference standard account. A cent account is denominated in cents, with a forex contract size of 1,000 (a standard lot is 100,000), maximum leverage of 1:500, and instruments limited to major and minor forex pairs, gold, silver, crude oil and BTCUSD, with no indices or stocks. The maximum is 500 lots per order and 200 orders, and there is no demo account. Spreads are the same as Classic, and the commission on an Edge cent account is one hundredth of that on Edge. Minimum deposit: for cent accounts, local payment methods start from USD 15 and vary by channel. Trading platform: the same page says both that only MT5 is supported and that MT4 and MT5 are supported. The two statements are inconsistent, so we do not state which platform is supported.

Can I change the currency of a TMGM trading account?

The official site does not publicly state whether clients can change the currency of an existing trading account themselves, or the procedure for doing so. You can also ask official customer support ([email protected] or live chat) whether you can open another account in the currency you need. Pay attention to the account currency you select when opening an account; cent accounts display USD-denominated cents. The account currencies available may also differ by entity, so refer to what the account opening page shows.

Can I change the leverage on my TMGM account?

The official site does not publicly state whether clients can change account leverage themselves, or the procedure. It only states that leverage on Edge and Classic accounts is adjusted according to risk management conditions. If you need a change, ask official customer support ([email protected] or live chat) whether it is possible, what conditions apply and how it would affect existing positions. Higher leverage magnifies losses, so please read the risk disclosure first. For the rules on automatic leverage adjustment, see Can leverage be adjusted?.

Different account types have different spreads, commissions and eligibility conditions. If you want to use another type, consider opening a new account in the client portal (see Can I open multiple trading accounts?) and then moving funds by internal transfer.

What is the difference between a TMGM demo account and a real account?

A demo account uses virtual funds to help you get familiar with the platform and test strategies, so profit and loss do not involve real money. A real account uses the real funds you deposit, so profit, loss, costs and risks are all real. Execution and slippage in a demo environment may differ from live markets. The official site provides a demo account entry point, with up to 30 per client; cent accounts have no demo account.

Does TMGM support joint accounts?

The TMGM Australia site FAQ states that joint accounts are offered only to traders who hold a joint bank account. We could not find a clear public statement on whether the Southeast Asia site offers joint accounts or on the application conditions.

Can I close a TMGM trading account?

The official Southeast Asia site does not publicly explain how clients can close a trading account themselves. Accounts with a zero balance and no deposits or withdrawals for a long period are archived automatically; see What should I do if my account has been archived?.
