Does TMGM allow news trading?

In the account comparison table on the official Southeast Asia site, the "permitted trading styles" for both Classic and Edge are "All", and news trading is not separately prohibited. However, spreads may widen and slippage may occur around key data releases. The temporary measures the official site currently publishes show that, from 15 minutes before to 5 minutes after major events such as non-farm payrolls, CPI and FOMC, the leverage cap on new gold positions is 1:200 and on crude oil 1:50. Such adjustments are dynamic policies that may change at any time, so please refer to the latest official announcements. For other restrictions, refer to the account agreement and official customer support, and see Why do spreads suddenly widen?.

Does TMGM allow scalping?

Yes. The official account comparison table shows that both Classic and Edge allow all trading styles, and the cent account page also explicitly lists scalping as permitted. Scalping is sensitive to spreads and commission: Edge has spreads from 0.0 pips but charges commission, while Classic has spreads from 1.0 pips and no commission, and you can estimate costs with the trading cost calculator. The official site does not publish any specific rule on a minimum holding time.

Does TMGM support EA automated trading?

Yes. The TMGM Help Center states that EAs (Expert Advisors) are allowed, but TMGM does not provide EA programs or related products, so questions about installing, configuring and using an EA should go to the EA provider. The Classic and Edge account pages both state that they are EA-compatible, the cent account page also says EAs are supported, and the official site also offers a VPS subscription service. An EA does not remove risk, so we suggest testing it on a demo account before deciding whether to use it on a live account.

Does TMGM support hedging?

Yes. In the official account comparison table, hedging is marked as "allowed" for both Edge and Classic accounts, and the cent account page also marks it as allowed. The official site does not publish specific rules on how margin is calculated for hedged positions, which you can check in the client portal.

What is TMGM's maximum leverage?

For Edge and Classic accounts under the VFSC regulated entity, the official Southeast Asia site shows maximum leverage of 1:1000, applicable to MT4 Live 2–12 and the MT5 servers. This cap does not apply uniformly to every instrument: once equity reaches USD 5,000, leverage on major and minor currency pairs and gold falls to 1:500, caps on exotic pairs and silver are lower, and cent accounts are up to 1:500. Other regulated entities (such as ASIC) have different rules, so please refer to the latest official announcements and the client portal. High leverage magnifies losses; see the risk disclosure.

Can I adjust my TMGM leverage myself?

Leverage in trading is mainly determined by official rules: caps are set by instrument (exotic pairs are one tenth of account leverage), tiered by whether equity reaches USD 5,000, and reduced at weekends, before market closes and around key data releases. These are dynamic policies that may change at any time, so please refer to the latest official announcements. The official site does not publicly say whether clients can change leverage themselves, or the procedure. For the account-level explanation, see Can I change the leverage on my account?.

Are TMGM spreads fixed?

The TMGM Australia site FAQ says that it does not offer fixed-spread accounts and that all accounts have floating spreads. That statement comes from the Australia site and cannot be treated as a confirmed trading condition for Southeast Asia site clients. The account pages of the Southeast Asia site show only that Edge spreads start from 0.0 pips and Classic from 1.0 pips, and do not separately say whether fixed spreads are offered. Actual spreads are as shown in the live quotes in MT4/MT5.

What is TMGM's lowest spread?

The official Southeast Asia site shows that spreads on Edge accounts start from 0.0 pips and on Classic accounts from 1.0 pips, and cent account spreads are the same as Classic. "From" is the lowest value under the best conditions and does not mean the usual level; spreads can widen around major data releases, when liquidity is thin, or near market opens and closes. To estimate costs, use the trading cost calculator, and the actual spread is as shown in the live quotes in MT4/MT5.

Does TMGM charge trading fees?

It depends on the account type. The official site states that Classic accounts have no commission, with costs reflected mainly in the spread, while Edge accounts charge a round-turn commission of USD 7 per lot on forex and USD 5 per lot on metals (official Southeast Asia site account comparison table). The Southeast Asia site account pages do not list commission for other instruments, so check the instrument specifications in MT4/MT5 or contact customer support. Swap may also apply, as well as a monthly inactive account fee when an account has had no deposits or trading for 12 months and still has a balance (the official statement is 30 per month, in the account currency). For deposit costs, see Does TMGM charge a deposit fee?.

What execution mode does TMGM use for orders?

The official page for cent accounts states Market Execution. The execution mode for Classic and Edge accounts is not separately published by the official Southeast Asia site, and you can check it in the instrument specifications in MT4/MT5. Market execution means orders are filled at the price available at the time of execution, which may differ from the price when you clicked; see Why does slippage occur?. The execution speed advertised by the official site is a marketing statement, and actual execution is also affected by your network and market conditions.

Does TMGM support market orders and pending orders?

TMGM accounts trade through MT4/MT5, whose standard functions include market orders and Limit and Stop pending orders. The order types available for each instrument and the minimum distance for pending orders are not publicly set out in specific rules by the official site, and you can check them in the instrument specifications in MT4/MT5.

Does TMGM support stop-loss and take-profit?

Yes. When opening or modifying an order in MT4/MT5, you can set a Stop Loss and a Take Profit. When the market gaps or is very volatile, a stop-loss order may be filled at a worse price, so exit at the set price is not guaranteed, and a stop-loss cannot guarantee that you will not lose money. The official site does not publish specific rules on the minimum distance for stop-loss and take-profit levels, which you can see in the instrument specifications.

What is the TMGM Stop Out level?

The Stop Out level is the margin level at which the system automatically closes positions by force. The TMGM Help Center explains that once it is triggered, positions are closed starting with the one with the largest loss until the margin level returns above the Stop Out level. The figure varies by regulated entity: 20% for VFSC entity accounts and 50% for ASIC entity accounts, and they cannot be applied interchangeably. In the Southeast Asia site account comparison table, Edge and Classic are marked at 20%. Figures for other regulated entities are not published by the official Southeast Asia site, so please refer to the client portal, the account agreement or official customer support. See the risk disclosure.

What is a TMGM Margin Call?

A Margin Call is a risk warning when the margin level declines, prompting you to add funds or reduce positions so that you do not reach the Stop Out level. The official Southeast Asia site Help Center publishes only the Stop Out level and does not publish a specific Margin Call level. The official site states that margin is not a fee, and the margin required for each instrument can be checked with the margin calculator on its website. For the Stop Out rules, see What is the Stop Out level?.

Why does slippage occur at TMGM?

Slippage is a difference between the price at which you place an order and the price at which it is actually executed. It is common when the market moves quickly, around key data releases, when liquidity is low, at opens and closes, or when large orders are executed, and it is especially noticeable on market orders. The price may be better or worse. The cent account page states market execution, so execution is at the price available at the time. TMGM's official pages do not promise zero slippage, so avoid large positions during high volatility. See also Why do spreads suddenly widen?.

Why do TMGM spreads suddenly widen?

The spread is the difference between the bid and ask prices and changes with liquidity. Common causes include the periods around key data or event releases, around opens, closes and the daily rollover, falling liquidity, holidays and sharp market moves. The quotes on the home page of the official TMGM Southeast Asia site are labelled "indicative", so the spreads shown are for reference only and the actual spread is as shown in the live quotes on the platform. For restrictions around news events, see Does TMGM allow news trading?.

Can I trade with TMGM at weekends?

Forex, gold, silver, crude oil, stock index and stock CFDs are closed at weekends, and the official trading hours table shows their trading days as Monday to Friday. The exception is cryptocurrency CFDs: the table lists Saturday and Sunday sessions (server time), with Saturday opening at 01:00 because of routine maintenance. Swap is not charged separately for weekends, and leverage on some instruments is reduced in the hour before the market closes, with details as set out in the latest official announcements. For the full schedule, see the TMGM trading hours.

What are TMGM's trading hours?

TMGM's MT4/MT5 display server time, which is GMT+2 in winter time and GMT+3 in summer time. The official schedule (server time): forex Monday to Thursday 00:01–23:59 and Friday 00:01–23:55; gold Monday to Thursday 01:01–23:59 and Friday 01:01–23:55; cryptocurrencies include weekend sessions; stock indices and stocks vary by market. Holiday hours may be adjusted, so check the instrument Specification in MT4/MT5 or "View all properties" in the TMGM app.

Does TMGM offer swap-free accounts?

Yes. TMGM offers Islamic (swap-free) accounts for clients who cannot pay or receive interest. The official Southeast Asia site states that they are available for Edge and Classic and support MT4 and MT5, and cent accounts also have a swap-free option. A swap-free account is not entirely free of charges: the official site states that some instruments carry a small financing fee, which is waived for the first five calendar days of a new account. Please read the official terms before applying, and see the swap-free account page for the fees by instrument.

How is TMGM swap calculated?

When a position is held past 00:00 MT4/MT5 server time, the system calculates swap once; if it is positive it is credited to the account, and if negative it is debited. For forex and gold, the quoted figure is the swap for holding one lot; for cryptocurrencies, swap is calculated as a percentage, using the formula rate (%) × closing price × lots × contract size ÷ 360. The triple-swap day is Wednesday for forex and gold and Friday for crude oil, stock indices and cryptocurrencies. Check the daily rates in the instrument properties in MT4/MT5 or the TMGM app.

Does TMGM offer negative balance protection?

The account pages of the official TMGM Southeast Asia site list "negative balance protection" as a risk management feature, but the risk disclosure in the footer of the official site also warns that clients may lose more than their initial deposit. Whether this protection applies may vary by the entity the account belongs to, the client category and the relevant terms, so it should not be read as unconditional protection for every client, still less as zero risk. For the related risks, see the risk disclosure.

What is the minimum lot size at TMGM?

In the instrument specifications table on the official Southeast Asia site, the minimum lot size for forex pairs is 0.01 lot (standard lot contract size 100,000). The minimum lot size on cent accounts is also 0.01 lot, but the forex contract size is 1,000, so the actual position is smaller. The minimum lot size and step for gold, indices, stocks and cryptocurrencies vary by instrument, so check the instrument specifications in MT4/MT5.
