GTC FX Account Security FAQ
GTC FX account passwords, two-factor authentication, fund safety, spotting fake websites and handling a compromised account.
Forex and contracts for difference (CFDs) are leveraged products and carry a high level of risk. You may lose all of your capital. Nothing on this site is investment advice.
Account Security
How do I keep my GTC FX account secure?
Use a long, unique password and do not reuse it on other websites; enable two-factor authentication where available (the GTC Go app description mentions 2FA protection); do not log in on public devices; and never share your login details with anyone, including people claiming to be customer support.
How can I spot a fake GTC FX website?
There are many fake websites in the market that misuse brokers' brand names. Only reach GTC through its official website, its official app store pages or the links provided on this site, and check the domain name before entering any account details. You can also verify the company entity and licence on the regulator's website.
Are GTC FX client funds held in segregated accounts?
Most regulated brokers state that client funds are held separately from the company's own funds, but the specific protection and its scope vary by contracting entity and regulator, and investor protection under offshore regulation is generally weaker than in jurisdictions such as the UK and Australia. Please read the client agreement and confirm with GTC.
Can I lend my GTC FX account to someone else or use a third-party managed trading service?
We do not recommend it. An account can normally be used only by its holder, and giving your login details to others or using an unknown managed trading service may breach the client agreement and lead to loss of funds. Any legitimate way of authorising someone else is as set out in GTC's official rules.
What should I do if I notice unusual trades or logins on my GTC FX account?
Change your login password and trading password immediately, log out of all devices, check your recent trades and deposit and withdrawal records, and then contact GTC's official customer support and keep your evidence. Do not handle the matter through links or group chats provided by strangers.
Can I trust an invitation from a stranger who says they can guarantee profits on GTC FX?
No. Nobody can guarantee profits from forex trading. Promising high returns, asking you to transfer money first or asking you to hand your funds over to be traded are common scam tactics. Please stay alert.
