Trading Platforms

Which trading platforms does GTC FX support?

According to GTC's official information and the MetaQuotes page, GTC offers MetaTrader 4 (MT4), MetaTrader 5 (MT5) and its own GTC Go app. The platforms you can use may depend on your account type; please refer to your client portal.

Should I choose MT4 or MT5?

MT4 has a simpler interface and suits traders who are used to conventional forex trading and who use EAs. MT5 supports more instrument types, more timeframes and a wider range of analysis tools. When choosing, consider your strategy, whether you use EAs and which instruments you want to trade.

How do I log in to my GTC FX MT4 / MT5 account?

After downloading MT4 or MT5, enter your trading account number and trading password, and select the server given in your account opening email or client portal. Choosing the wrong server name will prevent you from logging in. Your trading password is different from your client portal login password.

Does GTC FX support EA automated trading?

The MT4 and MT5 platforms themselves support EAs (Expert Advisors). Whether certain strategies are permitted is subject to GTC's client agreement and trading rules. We recommend testing an EA on a demo account before you use it.

What is the GTC Go app?

GTC Go is GTC's official mobile app, which can be used to view your accounts and market prices and to manage your accounts. For its specific features, please refer to the latest description in the app store and the version available in your region. Download it only from the official app stores.

Does GTC FX have a web trading terminal?

MetaTrader platforms generally offer a web terminal. To find out whether GTC has enabled web trading for your account, check the client portal or ask customer support. You will also need the correct server details to use the web version.

What is the GTC FX trading server time?

A forex broker's server time usually has a fixed offset from GMT and may be affected by daylight saving time. When reviewing order history or backtesting a strategy, rely on the server time shown on the platform and watch for the difference from your local time.
