Regulation & Compliance

Is GTC FX regulated?

GTC FX is a brand used by several group entities rather than a single company. According to the GTC Go app store page, the entities include GTC Global Trade Capital Co. Limited (Vanuatu VFSC, 40354), GTC Global Ltd (Mauritius FSC, GB22200292) and GTC Global SA (Pty) Ltd (South Africa FSCA, 51545). The specific entity serving you is as stated in your account opening agreement.

Why do some websites say GTC FX is regulated by the FCA and ASIC?

Some third-party websites list registrations with the UK FCA, Australia's ASIC and similar bodies, but these registrations do not necessarily correspond to the entity that provides trading services to you, and they may cover only limited activities. The contracting entity named in your client agreement is what counts, and you should verify it in the relevant regulator's official register.

What does regulation by bodies such as the VFSC or FSC mean?

Regulators such as Vanuatu's VFSC and Mauritius's FSC are generally regarded as offshore regulators. Their capital requirements, investor compensation schemes and enforcement typically differ from those of the UK FCA, Australia's ASIC and similar bodies. An offshore licence does not mean there is no risk, so trade within your means and manage your position size.

How can I verify that a GTC FX licence is valid?

Search the company register on the regulator's official website, check it using the company name and licence number, and confirm that the licence status and the permitted scope of business match the entity named in your client agreement. Do not rely only on logos or badges shown on a broker's website.

In which countries and regions does GTC FX not offer its services?

According to third-party sources, GTC does not serve residents of the United States, and some other countries and regions are also restricted. The list can change, so before opening an account please read GTC's official terms, confirm that you can open an account where you live, and comply with local laws and regulations.

Is this site an official GTC FX entity?

No. This site is an IB partner. It introduces clients through a dedicated link and may receive a commission from the broker as a result, part of which may be shared as a rebate under agreed terms. Accounts, funds, orders and customer service are the broker's responsibility. A rebate is not a guarantee of profit; see this site's risk disclosure for details.

If you register through this site's dedicated link, we may earn a commission from the broker, part of which may be shared as a rebate under agreed terms. Amounts are not guaranteed and are subject to the official rules.
