GTC FX Account Management FAQ

Click the GTC FX account opening button on this site, complete registration on the page that opens, then submit your identity verification documents as prompted and open a trading account. Please do not use any other promotional link first, otherwise your account may not be linked to this site's IB relationship.

You will usually need proof of identity (a passport, national ID card or driving licence) and proof of address (such as a recent utility bill or bank statement). Requirements vary by region. Documents must be clear, complete and still valid.

Accounts are commonly divided into standard accounts and ECN/Raw accounts, which differ in spreads, commission, minimum deposit and other terms. The account types and conditions available to you depend on the official GTC account opening page and your region.

You can usually open several trading accounts under the same client portal, for example for different account types or strategies. The number allowed and the rules that apply are as set by GTC.

Generally, an existing account cannot be linked to an IB after the fact. The rebate relationship has to be established by registering a new account through the IB's dedicated link. The exact rules are as set by GTC, so please confirm before you open an account.

MT4 and MT5 platforms generally allow you to open a demo account and practise trading with virtual funds. Funds in a demo account cannot be withdrawn. Whether a demo account is available, and how it can be used, is as shown in the GTC client portal.

You can change or reset your password yourself in the client portal. Core details such as your name and identity documents usually cannot be changed by yourself; you will need to contact GTC customer support and submit supporting documents.
